The artist

Paranormal Arson is a death-metal project launched by Jamie MacDonald in 2022 and recorded in Antigonish and New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. MacDonald handles guitar, bass, vocals, drum programming, production and much of the engineering, building a pummelling but hook-conscious wall of sound from old-school death, doom, grind and industrial-metal textures. The Paranormal Arson EP arrived in 2023, followed by the Director's Cut and the 2025 album Noxious; the project's songs turn local ghost stories, horror cinema and bleak humour into compact, visceral narratives.
