The artist
Pillow Fite is the Halifax duo of Art Ross and Aaron Green, who began trading song ideas over text during the Covid lockdown. Ross's open, intimate writing and Green's guitar and production work meet in a fluid alt-folk sound that can turn from acoustic vulnerability to full-band pop-rock. The duo's catalogue includes the Flutter EP, the 2024 album Hard Feelings, Soft Promises, the 2025 single Laundromats and the deluxe edition of Hard Feelings, Soft Promises released July 3, 2026. Fresh from winning Music Nova Scotia's 2025 Pop Recording of the Year, Pillow Fite is touring nationally and remains rooted in Halifax's queer and independent music community.
