About
The artist
POSTDATA is the acclaimed indie rock and art-pop project created by Canadian songwriter and musician Paul Murphy, best known as the frontman of Juno Award-winning rock band Wintersleep. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, POSTDATA began as an intimate acoustic outlet before evolving into an expansive, collaborative powerhouse released via Paper Bag Records. Albums including Twin Flames and Run Wild feature dynamic arrangements co-produced with Scottish producer Tony Doogan and Canadian collaborator Joe Chiccarelli, featuring members of Frightened Rabbit and Wintersleep. Across evocative instrumentation, pulsating percussion, and Murphy's distinctive soaring vocals, POSTDATA has earned Polaris Music Prize recognition, international critical acclaim, and a dedicated following.
