Shawnee Kish is a Two-Spirit Mohawk singer-songwriter based in Alberta whose powerful vocals and personal writing have made her a prominent voice in contemporary Indigenous music. After winning CBC Music's Searchlight competition in 2020, she released the self-titled Shawnee Kish EP in 2021, Revolution in 2023, Pray For Me in 2025, and the alternative-country album Chapter 1 in 2025. Her work bridges country storytelling with soul, rock, folk, and americana. Kish has received multiple JUNO nominations, won BreakOut West Indigenous Artist of the Year in 2025, and continued releasing new music and touring nationally in 2026.
