About
The artist
Softcult is the Kitchener, Ontario duo of twin siblings Mercedes Arn-Horn and Phoenix Arn-Horn. Formed in 2020, the project combines shoegaze, grunge, dream pop and punk with socially engaged songwriting and a hands-on DIY practice that includes recording, visual work and the SCripture zine. A steady run of EPs established the group's layered guitars and direct melodic writing before the debut album “When A Flower Doesn't Grow” arrived in January 2026. Official artist and agency pages document the duo's Canadian base, active touring and current independent creative work. MusicList uses a rights-clean monogram rather than unlicensed photography.
