The artist
The Culls are a Halifax folk-rock four-piece made up of Ryan Davenport, Mackenzie Adams, Maisie Gilbert and Jesse MacPherson. Their songs balance spare, intimate arrangements with close harmonies, dark humour and bursts of indie-rock energy. The band's 2024 self-titled album and the singles Swimmin' in Things, Florida, Sandals and Nature were recorded with Halifax-area collaborators and released through their independent Bandcamp catalog. The Culls have appeared at Nova Scotia Music Week and are booked for The Jubilee's 2026 festival lineup.
