About
The artist
Formed in Montreal in 1985 by brothers Gerry Alvarez and Bobby Beaton alongside John and Eric Davis, The Gruesomes are one of Canada's most celebrated garage-rock revival bands. With bowl cuts, matching suits, fuzz guitars, and trashy Farfisa organ, their albums Tyrants of Teen Trash and Gruesomania became cult classics and earned regular rotation on MuchMusic. Decades later, The Gruesomes continue to play high-energy reunion shows to packed houses, including recurring appearances at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern.
