About
The artist
Formed in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and long based in Hamilton, Ontario, The Trews are one of Canada's most hard-working and dependable rock institutions. Comprising brothers Colin MacDonald (vocals, rhythm guitar) and John-Angus MacDonald (lead guitar), bassist Jack Syperek, and drummer Chris Gormley, the band broke through with their Gold-certified 2003 debut House of Ill Fame and its massive single Not Ready to Go. Known for soaring vocal harmonies, razor-sharp guitar riffs, and their moving Canadian military tribute Highway of Heroes, The Trews have earned five JUNO Award nominations and placed multiple singles at #1 on Canadian rock radio over a prolific two-decade career.
