About
The artist
Born and raised in Lagos and now based in Winnipeg, Tommyphyll began making music professionally in 2018. The independent artist writes and produces an Afro-fusion style he calls Afrodiem, combining Nigerian rhythmic traditions with 1980s synth-pop, R&B, electronic textures, and cinematic orchestration. His catalog includes the self-produced 2020 album Art of Dreams, the singles GBEDU, TO BAH, AVAILABLE, and FAKE HUMILITY, and the 2025 EP Love Me Like the First Day. His music has appeared on Spotify editorial playlists and Canadian and international radio, while his live work includes festivals, support slots for Afrobeats artists, and a Winnipeg Sea Bears halftime performance for 7,000 people. He received a 2025 Western Canadian Music Award nomination for Afrobeats Artist of the Year.
