Eligible applicants: Registered non-profit or charitable professional arts and culture organizations based and operating within the Halifax Regional Municipality, in good standing with the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stock Companies or federally incorporated as a non-profit, with at least three years of continuous operation, qualified paid administrative staff, year-round or applicable seasonal arts programming, and a mandate serving municipal residents.
Funding amount or limit: Under Administrative Order 2014-007-ADM, anchor organizations may receive up to $100,000 per fiscal year; other non-profit organizations may receive up to $50,000 per fiscal year or 15% of the applicant’s budget, whichever is less. HRM generally contributes no more than 60% of annual administrative and core-program costs. Operating grants may support up to a three-year commitment, subject to annual budget approval.
