- Eligible applicants
- Registered non-profit or charitable professional arts and culture organizations based and operating within the Halifax Regional Municipality, in good standing with the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stock Companies or federally incorporated as a non-profit, with at least three years of continuous operation, qualified paid administrative staff, public/community support, and a mandate serving municipal residents.
- Funding amount or limit
- Professional Arts Organizations may receive a maximum of $25,000 per year for a specific arts project; the Municipality may contribute up to 100% of eligible project costs. An organization awarded $25,000 or more under Operating Assistance in the same application year is not eligible for Project Assistance.

Eligible activities
- Discrete professional arts productions or presentation initiatives, or discrete phases within larger initiatives, with public access and engagement. Eligible project expenses include artist fees and royalties, production and technical costs, essential venue or equipment rental, professional and administrative fees, project travel, promotion, publicity, and eligible in-kind contributions. Sound recording, publishing, commercial music, fundraisers, festivals, and organizational-development applications are excluded under the published guidelines.
