- Eligible applicants
- Professional emerging artists and collectives age 18 or older. Applicants must be Hamilton residents for at least 12 months at submission, have specialized training or practice in their field, and be recognized by peers. Emerging artists typically have less than seven years of professional practice and a modest body of work. Collectives must have at least two professional artists, with a majority of members residing in Hamilton; the collective is not required to be incorporated.

- Up to $5,000 for an Emerging Artist or Emerging Artist Collective. The handbook also limits funded artist remuneration to $2,500 for emerging artists.
