Annual City Enrichment Fund cycle. The 2026 general deadline was November 17, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.; the Arts program page now identifies the 2026 intake as closed. Hamilton says the annual CEF cycle opens each fall.
- Eligible applicants
- Incorporated not-for-profit arts organizations operating year-round with public programs or services publicized city-wide. Established professional and semi-professional organizations must generally be incorporated for five or more years; emerging professional or semi-professional organizations must be incorporated for one to four years and have sustained seasonal or year-round activity. Individual artists, collectives, and unincorporated groups are not eligible for the Arts Operating stream.
- Funding amount or limit
- Established professional and established semi-professional organizations: up to 30% of operating expenses, with total City of Hamilton funding not exceeding 30% of the program budget. Emerging professional organizations: up to $30,000 per year; emerging semi-professional organizations: up to $10,000 per year. Audited statements are required for requests of $30,000 or more.
