The 2026 deadline was May 27, 2026 at 4 p.m. The next published deadline is Wednesday, December 2, 2026 at 4 p.m. for the 2027 cycle; the application goes live approximately two months before the deadline.
- Eligible applicants
- Established, mid-career, and emerging artists aged 18 or older who are committed to their practice, reside in Ottawa or are Anishinabe Algonquin artists living within 150 km of Ottawa, have training or equivalent practice experience, peer recognition, a reasonable professional body of work, a history of public presentation or publication, seek payment for their work, and maintain an independent artistic practice. Presenters and producers are not eligible.

Eligible activities
- Creation and production of a single new independent work with complete creative and editorial control. Music examples include recording a master through mixing and mastering for a single, EP, or album, and concert production; interdisciplinary examples include musical theatre and music videos. Production projects may include staging, recording, filming, or presenting completed work.
