- Eligible applicants
- Individuals aged 18 to 30 who currently live in Ottawa, or Anishinabe Algonquin applicants living within 150 km of Ottawa. Organizations and collectives are not eligible; individuals who have received three grants from this program are also ineligible.
- Funding amount or limit
- Applicants may request up to $2,000; funding may cover an artist fee and/or project or living expenses related to eligible training or mentorship.

Eligible activities
- Professional-career development in arts, heritage, and culture through training such as conferences, masterclasses, workshops, residencies, and administration/management training, or mentorship with established cultural workers, professional artists, elders, or knowledge keepers. Creation and production projects, commercial initiatives, fundraising, school-curriculum projects, and completed projects are excluded.

This can support a young musician’s professional development or mentorship, but not the creation or production of a music work.
