Arts and Culture Assistance Program (ACAP) — Operational Assistance and Seed Funding

The 2026 Late Intake is closed. Operational Assistance is recurring annually and Seed Funding is a one-time start-up stream, subject to the ACAP intake cadence.

ACAP has an Early Intake deadline on the last Friday in October and a Late Intake deadline on the last Friday in March each year. The 2026 Late Intake deadline was March 27, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.; the next early deadline is not yet posted as a dated call.

Eligible applicants
Operational Assistance is for established incorporated not-for-profit organizations with arts and culture as their primary mandate, based in Sault Ste. Marie or demonstrating substantial local benefit, with at least two years of regularly scheduled artistic or cultural programming and required governance, financial and reporting capacity. Seed Funding is for innovative start-up operations meeting the program's special-need and management conditions.
Funding amount or limit
Operating Assistance Grants may not exceed 25% of the applicant's projected operating budget. No fixed dollar cap is published; ACAP states total funds available for all grant types are $170,000. Seed Funding may only be applied for once by an organization.
