Creative Industries Funding: Music — Skills Development Grants

Recurring multi-intake program; applications are submitted online and one application per program or event is considered per calendar year. The August 1, 2026 cutoff is the current listed intake date for October–December projects.
Recurring online intakes align with project start dates: February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 15 for the project windows listed by the City.
- Eligible applicants
- Legal not-for-profit or charitable organizations, urban off-reserve Indigenous-led organizations, Association of Community Centres community centres, for-profit businesses, festivals, educational organizations, and grassroots or DIY collectives that are located in Toronto or deliver the funded project/services to Toronto-based entities or individuals; applicants must not be indebted to the City or in default.

Eligible activities
- Initiatives that build practical production, business-development, professional, or life skills for employment readiness in music and other creative sectors, especially programs led by or serving historically underrepresented groups. Individual career projects, record production, direct tour support, and ongoing operating costs are excluded.
