- Eligible applicants
- Professional individual artists who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or have a permanent-resident application pending; current Toronto residents for at least one year; at least 18; and maintaining an independent professional practice for at least one year. Collaborative proposals are allowed, but bands or ensembles apply through one primary individual applicant.
- Funding amount or limit
- Maximum grants: $10,000 for Creation, $8,000 for Recording — Demo/EP, and $15,000 for Recording — Full-Length. Manufacturing limits are 500 units for Demo/EP and 1,000 units for Full-Length; accessibility support may be requested separately.

Eligible activities
- Original music creation and composition, Demo/EP recording, and full-length audio recording in any genre. Eligible costs vary by category and may include artist fees, production, mixing, editing, mastering, packaging, design, manufacturing within stated unit limits, and limited web/media costs. Music videos, travel, touring, equipment, promotion-only work, and non-originator projects are excluded.
