For the 2026–27 pilot, official page content lists evaluation dates 15 May and 6 November 2026 at 17:00 ET. Other requests are generally due no later than one month before activities begin.
- Eligible applicants
- Self-producing artists, Canadian francophone artists, music publishers, artist managers, record labels, sound-recording producers and show producers. Global-funding-envelope companies are generally excluded from Individual Initiatives except for listed showcase, unforeseen-opportunity and pilot exceptions; applicants and artists must meet Musicaction’s Canadian requirements.
- Funding amount or limit
- Up to 75% of accepted costs. Ordinary ceiling $50,000 with an established professional structure in the target market, or $25,000 without an international team. The 2026–27 pilot may reach $100,000–$125,000; activity sub-caps include $10,000 adaptation, $10,000 showcase trips plus stated supplements and $15,000 tour trips plus stated supplements.

- Showcases or professional-facing performances, including up to three concurrent performances
- Tours of at least five performances in 12 days
- Promotion tied to a sound recording
- International career development and market exploration, generally up to two years after release in the target territory
