Current recurring/rolling intake; budget availability is the limiting condition.

Ongoing intake from April 1 to March 31 each year until the annual budget is exhausted.

Eligible applicants
NWT residents who have lived in the territory for at least 6 months and are living there at application; or NWT-based sole proprietors and small businesses participating in or supporting the arts sector. Only one project may be active at a time, with prior reporting accepted before reapplying.
Funding amount or limit
Up to $10,000 per project; a minimum 20% applicant equity contribution is required.

  • arts-business startup costs
  • scaling services for established artists
  • equipment and tool purchases
  • first-run production of original inventory for sale, including music recordings, up to 250 units per product
  • marketing and promotion, including e-commerce website development and promotional materials
