Casa Del Popolo is Montreal's defining Mile End vegetarian café, bar, and performance space, founded in 2000 by Mauro Pezzente and Kiva Stimac as the cradle of the city's experimental and indie scene.
Located at 4873 Saint-Laurent Boulevard, Casa Del Popolo is an intimate 100-capacity cultural hub featuring live indie rock, avant-garde jazz, folk, and poetry alongside an art gallery and fair-trade café. It served as an incubator for iconic Montreal acts including Arcade Fire and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and remains a pillar of POP Montreal and local DIY music culture.
