CJWE Southern Alberta is a Calgary-based Indigenous radio station serving Treaty 7 and southern Alberta with country music, Indigenous voices, local news, artist interviews and a direct no-fee music-submission route.

CJWE Southern Alberta, call sign CJWE-FM, is a Calgary-based Indigenous radio station operated by the Aboriginal Multi-Media Society of Alberta. The CRTC identifies it as an Indigenous Type B Native station established in 2018 to serve urban Indigenous communities in Calgary and describes its Calgary, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat coverage as an Indigenous radio service for virtually all of Treaty 7 territory. A 2025 CRTC decision administratively renews CJWE-FM and its transmitters through August 31, 2027. CJWE’s current official site calls it southern Alberta’s choice for country music and local news and lists service in Calgary, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. Current first-party music reporting includes a May 12 interview about a Canadian country artist’s new EP, a May 25 interview with an Alberta country artist about a new song and upcoming performances, and June 2 coverage and an interview about a National Indigenous History Month exhibition honouring Indigenous musicians. The official music-submission guide directly designates the Windspeaker Media Music Department role inbox, accepts only MP3 or WAV audio, asks for a radio edit no longer than three to four minutes and a short biography, rejects cover songs and ordinary streaming or download links, prioritizes Canadian content, and expressly preserves the station’s right to refuse submissions. It states no fee and promises notification only if the Music Department accepts a track for airplay. MusicList republishes only the designated role inbox; named staff, street addresses, phone and text details, general, programming, news, events, advertising and job contacts, and optional third-party delivery services remain excluded.
