Island Radio CJAI 101.3 FM is an English-language community radio station licensed in Stella, Ontario, and operated by the volunteer-run nonprofit Amherst Island Radio Broadcasting Inc. The station’s current first-party About page says it was established in 2006, broadcasts at 4,800 watts from studios in Stella and Bath, serves Loyalist Township and Eastern Ontario, and streams worldwide. The CRTC renewed CJAI-FM’s community-radio licence through August 31, 2030. Its current schedule carries live programs seven days a week across music, news, community affairs and regional stories. A first-party archive episode dated July 10, 2026 confirms current programming inside the 180-day window. Island Radio also operates Radio Free Stella, an internet-only sister stream devoted to Eastern Ontario music 24 hours a day. The official music-submission form is a direct route for feature and rotation consideration on CJAI and, for local music, Radio Free Stella. It requires an artist or band name and biography, one MP3, WAV or M4A file up to 16 MB, local-status and city/province information, private submitter contact details, and optionally an artist image up to 4 MB and a website. Its MP3 guidelines request title, artist, optional album or EP, genre, year and contact metadata. The station defines local music as coming from the area between Belleville and Brockville and north to Highway 7. No submission fee is displayed. The page says submissions are considered for airplay; its description of Radio Free Stella as playing local music all the time does not guarantee that every submitted track will be accepted, featured or added to rotation. The separate Performance Studio service, including any recording fee, donation or interview workflow, is not treated as part of the free music-submission route. Advertising, sponsorship and charity-bingo surfaces are also separate and excluded. Named board members, staff, hosts and engineers, every inbox and phone number, both street and postal addresses, private form values, uploaded audio and images, and unrelated contact routes remain excluded.
