Recorded in Toronto at Lincoln County Social Club with American producer Dave Schiffman, the record achieved international mainstream success driven by lead single Spirits, which reached number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart and earned double-platinum status in Canada. Blending soaring pop hooks with gothic folk lyricism, Hope earned The Strumbellas the 2017 Juno Award for Single of the Year.
