The Story of the Release
Talk Memory is the fifth studio album by acclaimed Canadian instrumental jazz-fusion trio BADBADNOTGOOD (Chester Hansen, Leland Whitty, Alexander Sowinski). Recorded entirely in Toronto and Los Angeles using live tape machines and analog instrumentation, the album represents a triumphant return to improvised jazz expression. Talk Memory features monumental orchestral arrangements from legendary Brazilian maestro Arthur Verocai, alongside guest appearances from Laraaji, Karriem Riggins, Terrace Martin, and Brandee Younger. Mixed completely to analog tape by Grammy-winner Russell Elevado, the album received universal critical acclaim, earning a 2022 Juno Award nomination.
