About
The artist
Alex Burger is a Montreal country singer-songwriter whose French-language songs draw from Quebec country tradition while moving through rock, blues, and folk. After playing with Câltar-Bateau, Mon Doux Saigneur, and Bon Enfant, he launched his solo career with the 2018 EP À'ment donné. His first album, Sweet Montérégie, arrived in 2021 and won the Félix for Country Album of the Year. Burger followed it with Live au Quai des Brumes and the 2023 studio album Ça s'invente pas, a collection centred on melody, road life, family, and everyday pleasures. The latter earned a 2024 ADISQ nomination for Country Album of the Year. Burger remains an active touring artist and a member of Bon Enfant, with Quebec and international performances scheduled through 2026.
