About
The artist
Bon Enfant is a Montreal rock quintet formed by singer and lyricist Daphné Brissette and multi-instrumentalist Guillaume Chiasson, then completed by Étienne Côté, Melissa Fortin, and Alex Burger. The members brought experience from several Quebec projects but created Bon Enfant as a new space for shared writing and a broad love of rock. Their music draws freely from psychedelic rock, glam, disco, folk, pop, art punk, and hard rock, with Brissette's French-language vocals at the centre. The self-titled debut arrived in 2019 and was named Le Devoir's French-language album of the year before receiving a GAMIQ rock-album award. Diorama followed in 2021 and earned the Félix for Rock Album of the Year. The group expanded its rhythmic and production range again on Demande spéciale, released through Duprince in October 2024. The twelve-song album was produced by Emmanuel Éthier and includes the singles Trompe-l'œil and Aire de plastique. Bon Enfant remains active on Quebec stages, with 2026 performances in Montreal, Chicoutimi, Longueuil, and other cities. Current credits continue to identify the same five-member lineup and a Montreal base.
