About

The artist

Archspire is a technical death metal band from Vancouver, British Columbia. Formed in 2007 under the name Defenestrated and renamed Archspire in 2009, the group developed a style centred on extreme speed, tightly synchronized ensemble playing, rapid-fire vocals, and science-fiction and body-horror narratives. Its album sequence runs from All Shall Align and The Lucid Collective through Relentless Mutation and Bleed the Future. Bleed the Future won Metal or Hard Music Album of the Year at the 2022 Juno Awards, four years after Relentless Mutation was nominated in the same category. Archspire ended its long label relationship with Season of Mist in 2025 and became independent, financing its fifth album directly with supporters. Drummer Spencer Moore joined Dean Lamb, Tobi Morelli, Oli Peters, and Jared Smith for Too Fast to Die, released independently in April 2026. The band supported the record with new videos and an extensive 2026 touring schedule across North America and Europe.
