About

The artist

Charlie A'Court is a Halifax-based singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer rooted in blues, soul, folk, and Americana. Raised in rural Nova Scotia, he developed his voice and guitar style through the influence of Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and later contemporary roots songwriters. His catalogue includes Color Me Gone, Bring On the Storm, Live at the Marigold, When Country Gets the Blues, the collaborative A'Court, Spiegel, & Vinnick, and San Palarino. Released in October 2024, San Palarino explores aging, emotional well-being, and social pressure through co-writes with artists including Matt Andersen, Terra Spencer, and Colin MacDonald. A'Court has toured across Canada and internationally and has performed at festivals in Canada, Australia, and the United States. He is a six-time East Coast Music Award winner and has received multiple Nova Scotia Music Awards across blues, pop, soul, and entertainer categories. In 2026, his official channels showed an active Canadian touring schedule, work toward another album, and continued stewardship of the Charlie A'Court Scholarship for Excellence in Music. Current Apple Music and event records identify Halifax, Nova Scotia as his home base.
