The artist

Terra Spencer is a Nova Scotia singer-songwriter and former funeral director whose music pairs fingerstyle guitar, gospel piano and a warm, expressive voice with cinematic stories and East Coast wit. Since her 2018 debut she has released four albums, including Chasing Rabbits, Old News with Ben Caplan, and Sunset, and has toured Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany. Sunset won Music Nova Scotia's 2025 Folk/Roots Recording of the Year and the 2026 Canadian Folk Music Award for English Songwriter of the Year recognized Terra's writing. She continues to perform and lead songwriting workshops across Atlantic Canada.
