The artist
Denis Bédard is a Vancouver-based organist, harpsichordist and composer born in Quebec City. After advanced study in Quebec, Paris and Amsterdam, he developed a long career as a performer, teacher and church musician. He served as organist and music director at Vancouver’s Holy Rosary Cathedral from 2001 to 2021 and publishes a catalogue of more than 170 works through Éditions Cheldar. His clear, melodic writing for organ, choir and chamber ensembles continues to be recorded, published and premiered internationally.
