About

The artist

Forgotten Tales is a Canadian symphonic power metal band formed in Quebec City, Quebec, in October 1999. Led by frontwoman Sonia Pineault alongside guitarist Martin Desharnais and bassist Rene Pineault, the group emerged as one of Canada's foremost exponents of European-style melodic power metal. After gaining early prominence opening for symphonic metal icons Nightwish in Montreal in 2000, the band released their acclaimed debut studio album, The Promise (2001). They followed with the critically praised concept record All The Sinners (2004), which received international distribution across North America, Europe, and Asia, and later released We Shall See the Light (2010), cementing their enduring legacy in Canadian heavy metal history.
