About

The artist

Foxwarren is a Canadian quintet built around the long-running musical friendship of Andy Shauf, Avery Kissick, Darryl Kissick, Dallas Bryson, and Colin Nealis. The project grew from connections formed in Saskatchewan and developed over years of home recording before its self-titled album arrived in November 2018. That record joined Shauf's detailed songwriting with a looser group process shaped by guitar pop, folk, and country-rock textures. It earned a 2020 JUNO Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year. After an extended period in which the members pursued other work and lived in different provinces, Foxwarren reconnected through remote recording and released 2 through ANTI- in May 2025. The 15-song album broadens the band's palette with samples, manipulated voices, warm ensemble playing, and concise pop structures. A North American tour followed in 2025, and the official site lists further Canadian performances in 2026. The exact Spotify identity contains nine distinct primary album and single containers from November 2018 through February 2026, including two album-classified releases and seven singles. Strange (Dan The Automator Remix) is the latest matching release. The Listen2me video, directed by Winston Hacking, received a 2026 JUNO nomination for Music Video of the Year. Foxwarren's artist-controlled Bandcamp continues to identify the project with Regina, Saskatchewan, while a current Creative Saskatchewan record documents work on the newest album in the province.
