The artist

Fredz is the stage name of Montreal singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, and guitarist Frédéric Carrier. He began teaching himself guitar as a teenager and moved into rap and songwriting in 2019, building an audience through short videos and candid songs about relationships, doubt, ambition, and ordinary life. His first full-length releases were Pas D'épines, Pas De Rose in 2019 and Personne ne touche le ciel in 2020. Astronaute followed in 2022 and included songs such as À ce qu'il paraît, Nova, and 3 accords.
