About

The artist

K.Maro is the artist identity of Cyril Kamar, a Lebanese Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, manager, and entrepreneur based in Montréal, with ongoing professional ties to Paris. His family moved from Lebanon to Montréal in 1990, and he developed his early music practice in the city's hip-hop community. The official discography begins with Les Messagers du Son in 1997 and documents his solo work from the late 1990s onward. La Good Life brought international recognition in 2004 through Femme Like U. The song received the 2005 NRJ Music Award for Francophone Song of the Year, and K.Maro and co-writer Louis Côté received SOCAN's International Achievement Award in 2008. Kamar later concentrated on production and artist development, including production across seven Shy'm albums and work with artists such as Corneille, Fredz, and Belly. His current exact Spotify identity contains 22 primary release containers from July 2004 through January 2026: seven albums and 15 provider-classified singles. Place de Loréane (VOL. 1), released by Sounds Like Harper and Coyote Records in October 2025, blends French chanson, R&B, and electronic production shaped by vintage machines. La Reine De La Fête (Remix), a January 2026 collaboration with Jalouse, is the latest primary release. A 2026 Quebec tour and announced international dates confirm current performance activity. Kamar also founded Maison Keï Akai, a contemporary art gallery in Montréal. Professional inquiries route through the booking, press, and collaboration form on his official site.
