About
The artist
Gab Paquet is a Quebec City singer-songwriter and performer who works in a deliberately outsized tradition of francophone variety and romantic pop. His official website frames the project as theatrical, sensual, comic, and layered rather than as a novelty act. Sélection continentale introduced the project in 2013, followed by Casio, pad & moustaches in 2015 and Santa Barbara in 2016. The latter led to an opening appearance for Michel Louvain at the Festival d'été de Québec in 2017. La Force d'Éros arrived in February 2021 as an erotic and esoteric pop cycle drawing on Quebec balladry, boy-band pop, trance, nu metal, disco, soul, and Greek mythology. The album received a 2021 ADISQ nomination for Pop Album of the Year, and the associated Séduire pour Survivre production was nominated for Show of the Year in 2022. Collection sentimentale followed in December 2023, revisiting early songs with updated arrangements and adding material such as Gente dame, which played over the credits of the Quebec film Farador. The current official site continues to present the catalog and concerts, while current municipal, Apple Music, and ticketing sources list Quebec performances in 2026 and the premiere of the forthcoming album Amours interdites at Théâtre Capitole in April 2027. The exact Spotify identity contains 12 distinct primary album and single containers from November 2015 through December 2023: three albums and nine provider-classified singles. The earlier Sélection continentale release is documented editorially but is not added to the exact Spotify total because it is absent from that identity's primary catalog. Apple Music identifies the exact artist with Quebec City and current concert activity. Current sources do not establish management, label, booking, publishing, or distribution relationships, so those fields remain omitted rather than inferred. English and French copy and translation provenance were reviewed together, Spotify media is rendered with provider attribution, professional messages are directed to the official website, and no direct contact details are republished.
