About
The artist
Hobson is the musical project of Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alex Hobson, based in St. Catharines in Ontario's Niagara region. Melding organic guitar textures, heartland rock energy, and confessional Americana lyricism, Hobson channels raw personal experiences into evocative songwriting. Emerging with breakout singles including 'Lonely Roads' (2025), '25' (2025), 'Drag Me' (2026), and 'Small Time Gambler' (2026), Hobson regularly collaborates with fellow Southern Ontario musicians such as Andy Colonico and Myke Penney. With an authentic grassroots approach, Hobson continues to establish a distinct voice within Ontario's thriving independent rock landscape.
