About

The artist

Inn Echo is an instrumental folk group based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The project grew from sessions in Charlottetown after fiddlers Karson McKeown and Tuli Porcher and guitarist Tom Gammons arrived on the Island from Ontario, British Columbia, and Montana. Their original music combines Celtic and Maritime tune traditions with detailed ensemble arrangements, rhythmic guitar, and the expanded range of five-string fiddle and cello. The self-titled debut album arrived in 2019, followed by the three-track Winter's End in 2020 and the full-length Hemispheres in 2023. Hemispheres reflects touring experiences across several continents while maintaining a musical connection to Prince Edward Island. It received a 2025 JUNO Award nomination for Traditional Roots Album of the Year and won the 2025 Music PEI Award for Instrumental Recording of the Year. Music PEI also listed Inn Echo among its 2026 Achievement in Global Music nominees. The group remained active in 2026 through Canadian and Australian festival appearances, Prince Edward Island performances, and a campaign for a new album. Current official artist, Apple Music, and Music PEI sources consistently support a Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island base.
