About

The artist

Jade LeMac is a Vancouver singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose pop writing pairs vulnerable storytelling with polished electronic production. Born Jade MacPhail and raised in a multicultural family on Vancouver Island, she later moved to Vancouver and taught herself piano and guitar as tools for songwriting. Early vocal work on dance releases for Monstercat introduced her voice to electronic audiences, while original songs shared online built a large independent following. Her official debut single, Constellations, arrived in 2021 and became the foundation of her first major streaming breakthrough. She followed it with songs including Let Me, Same Place, Aimed to Kill, and Meet You in Hell before the Constellations project in 2023. Confessions and its expanded and stripped versions developed a darker, more confrontational side of her writing in 2023 and 2024. Pink Balloon and the 2025 project It's Always At Night widened the palette again, balancing atmospheric ballads with direct pop hooks. An acoustic version of It's Always At Night followed in January 2026, while current booking and press material documents festival appearances and touring activity in 2026. Her exact Spotify identity contains 36 distinct primary album and single containers from October 2021 through January 2026: two provider-classified albums and 34 singles. Spotify classifies the six-track It's Always At Night projects and several other multi-track releases as singles, so those provider categories are preserved here even when other services present them as EPs. Current Spotify, Sony Music UK, WME, Canadian press, and direct-interview material consistently identify LeMac as Vancouver-based. Her work also openly reflects her Vietnamese and broader Asian heritage and her connection to the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Sony Music UK records a 2024 GLAAD nomination for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist. English and French public copy, translation provenance, exact catalog counts, current Vancouver evidence, Spotify media attribution, and the publication payload were reviewed together.
