Julie Aubé is an Acadian singer-songwriter, musician, and multidisciplinary artist from Memramcook, New Brunswick. She has worked as one of the three members of Les Hay Babies for more than a decade and began a solo catalog under her own name in 2017. Her writing uses French, English, and the oral rhythms of Chiac to connect country, folk rock, and roots music with everyday life in southeastern New Brunswick. Joie de vivre, released in 2017, established the solo project and received Music·Musique NB's Enregistrement solo de l'année award. Contentement followed in 2022. Aubé wrote its lyrics, shared the music with Mike Trask, performed vocals, acoustic guitar, and percussion, and handled production.
