The artist

Les Hay Babies are an Acadian trio based in Moncton, New Brunswick. Julie Aubé, Katrine Noël, and Vivianne Roy began working together in 2012 and built a francophone catalog around close harmonies, guitars, banjo, ukulele, and a shared interest in reshaping older popular styles. The Folio EP introduced an indie-folk and country approach in 2012. Mon Homesick Heart followed in 2014, La 4ième dimension (Version Longue) in 2016, and Boîte aux lettres in 2020. Each project widened the palette, moving from contemporary folk-rock through 1960s and 1970s rock, 1980s balladry, and retro pop and disco. Their fourth album, Tintamarre, arrived in October 2024 after a writing retreat in Louisiana. Its roots-rock sound connects Acadian celebration, community noise-making, country, and classic rock.
