About

The artist

Juste Robert is the musical name of Jean-Robert Drouillard, a Quebec City sculptor, singer, songwriter, and visual artist. Born in Chatham, Ontario and raised in Gaspé, Drouillard studied literature and creative writing before completing sculpture training in Quebec City. He began releasing music as Juste Robert in 2014 while maintaining his visual-art practice. The project's recorded catalog opens with Des autoportraits in 2016, followed by Mon mammifère préféré in 2019, the five-track Ta constellation in 2020, and Ta théorie sur la lumière in 2022. Dimanche 14 h 14 arrived through La Tribu on October 10, 2025. Drouillard produced the ten-song album, wrote most of its words and music, and recorded it with a team led by Benoit Shampouing Villeneuve and Simon Pedneault. Charlotte Brousseau, Mathilde Côté, Jeanne Côté, and Ariane Roy contributed voices. The release moves the project toward a fuller folk-rock and pop setting while retaining its measured French-language songwriting. Current activity includes the 2025 album, two advance singles, and a February 2026 Montreal concert presented by La Tribu. The exact Spotify identity contains eight distinct primary album and single containers from October 2016 through October 2025. Four are albums, one is a five-track EP, and three are standalone singles. Apple Music, Spotify, Bandcamp, YouTube, La Tribu, and the current artist site all resolve to the same Juste Robert identity and catalog. The City of Quebec's public-art registry identifies Jean-Robert Drouillard as Juste Robert and states that he lives and works in downtown Quebec City. A 2025 Manif d'art profile independently places him in Quebec City, and the artist-controlled Bandcamp identifies Quebec, Quebec. Together these current sources confirm the Quebec City base. La Tribu is the current label, with Suzie Larivée named for management and Nikolas Gravel for live booking on the official artist site. English and French public copy, translation provenance, catalog counts, identity, current-location evidence, Spotify media attribution, and the exact publication payload were reviewed together.
