About

The artist

Lee Aaron is a Canadian rock vocalist, songwriter, producer, and guitarist based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She began her professional recording career with The Lee Aaron Project in 1982 and emerged as a prominent woman in Canadian hard rock with Metal Queen in 1984. The title song was written as an empowerment statement, even as its image became a lasting public nickname. Aaron expanded her sound across hard rock, metal, pop, alternative music, blues, jazz, and opera. Bodyrock in 1989 and Some Girls Do in 1991 both achieved multi-platinum status, while Whatcha Do To My Body became a number-one single. After moving from Toronto to Vancouver, she developed an independent practice that joined writing, recording, production, and family life. She returned to sustained rock recording with Fire And Gasoline in 2016, followed by Diamond Baby Blues, Radio On!, Elevate, and Tattoo Me. Released by Metalville Records on April 26, 2024, Tattoo Me is an eleven-track covers album produced by Aaron in her Vancouver studio with guitarist Sean Kelly, bassist Dave Reimer, and drummer John Cody. Her current official tour archive documents a national 2025 schedule and 2026 activity. Aaron was inducted into Brampton's Arts Walk of Fame in 2016 and into Canada's Walk of Fame through the 2023 Canada’s Rock of Fame celebration. Her career record also includes ten JUNO nominations, a CMPA Songwriters Award, MuchMusic Video Awards, a Music Express Award, and Toronto female vocalist honours. The exact Spotify identity contains sixteen principal album and single containers in the Canadian market from 1982 through April 2024: fifteen provider-classified albums and one single.
