Born in Montréal and raised in Bogotá, he began performing in a high school rock band, studied music with an audio emphasis at Universidad Javeriana, recorded with Poligamia for Sony Music, and toured more than 40 shows with Shakira as a keyboardist, acoustic rhythm guitarist, and vocalist.
