The artist

Merv xx Gotti is the solo project of Regina artist and music-community builder Marvin Tontiwachwuthikul Chan. Known previously through the hip-hop and R&B duo Samurai Champs, Chan developed Guitar Songs as a more intimate, guitar-led outlet for vulnerable songwriting and dreamy vocals. The project’s catalog includes Guitar Songs EP from 2024, a full-length expansion in 2025 and continuing singles through 2026. SaskMusic’s current professional profile confirms Chan’s Regina base and exact artist identity, while Apple Music and Spotify connect the current catalog. The official Saskatchewan Music Awards program lists Merv xx Gotti as a 2025 Roots or Folk Artist of the Year nominee and Guitar Songs as an Album of the Year contender.
