The artist
Formed in Sackville, New Brunswick by best friends Josée Caron and Lucy Niles, Partner is a high-octane indie rock band celebrated for blistering classic-rock guitar solos, infectious power-pop hooks, and refreshingly candid queer perspective. After meeting at Mount Allison University and playing together in local underground projects, Caron and Niles forged Partner's signature sound: a joyful collision of 1990s alt-rock dynamics and shred-heavy classic rock virtuosity. Their 2017 debut full-length In Search of Lost Time on You've Changed Records earned universal critical acclaim, earning a spot on the Polaris Music Prize Long List and winning praise from Pitchfork, NPR, and Exclaim!.
