The artist
Raven Reid is an Indigenous folk singer-songwriter based in Saskatoon, with roots in Yellowknife, Prince Albert and Mikisew First Nation ancestry. A self-taught guitarist and storyteller, she writes candid songs about resilience, healing, identity and the lasting effects of the Sixties Scoop. Her catalog includes the album Waiting for Change and the singles The Government Song, Stumbling Fool / 215 and Love a Loser. Raven Reid was nominated for Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year at the 2025 Saskatchewan Music Awards. MusicList uses a rights-clean monogram rather than unlicensed photography.
