The artist
Rooky Kamiz is a singer-songwriter and producer based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. His Afro-fusion approach connects Nigerian rhythmic traditions with pop, R&B, hip-hop and electronic production. His catalog includes Satori, the 2024 album IRIDESCENT and the 2025 album Of Chaos & Cotton Candy, an eleven-track project exploring emotional contrast. Current Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp pages document ongoing activity. SaskMusic named him a co-winner of Afrobeats Artist of the Year in 2025, following an earlier Saskatchewan award and a Western Canadian Music Award.
