The artist

Ruby Singh’s Vox.Infold II is a Vancouver vocal project led, arranged, and produced by interdisciplinary artist Ruby Singh. The ensemble brings together Tiffany Ayalik, Inuksuk Mackay, Dawn Pemberton, Russell Wallace, Shamik Bilgi, Tiffany Moses, Hussein Janmohamed, and Singh, drawing on Indigenous, Inuit, Black, and South Asian voices. Its 2024 album Vox.Infold II explores birth, death, ancestry, and spiritual return through layered harmony, polyrhythm, poetry, breath, and beatbox. The recording was made in Vancouver and released through Singh’s artist-controlled Bandcamp. The project received a 2025 Western Canadian Music Award nomination in the Global category and continued through immersive visual collaborations and performances.
