About
The artist
Formed in Calgary, Alberta in 1998, identical twin sisters Tegan and Sara Quin are iconic pioneers of Canadian indie rock and modern synthpop. Over a transcendent career spanning more than two decades, the duo evolved from raw acoustic indie-folk into synth-driven pop innovators with classic albums such as The Con (2007) and the pop masterpiece Heartthrob (2013), which featured the massive multi-Platinum single Closer. Honored with three JUNO Awards—including Group of the Year and Pop Album of the Year—and the 2024 Humanitarian Award from CARAS, Tegan and Sara are celebrated globally for their musicianship, memoirs (High School), television adaptations, and tireless advocacy through the Tegan and Sara Foundation.
